...his video camera became his BFF this summer!

Well, I'll have to start by saying I'm thankful! I'm glad we had the funding, ability and patience to go to the beach this weekend.

Our timeshare let us use a wonderul two bedroom, two bathroom place WITH a screened in porch from Thursday night until Sunday morning.

We got there Thursday night around 11:00, after a horrible slow experience at Bojangles... whoda thunk it?!

Chris and I had to go to an owner's update Friday morning that was only supposed to be less than an hour... for a $50 gift card to use on WHATEVER (gas included)! We ended up being there until 11:30 - I was irritated but kept my patience. Once we got back to the room, I showered and took mom to the store (AND the liquer store) while the boys chil-axed by the pool. There were two, BTW- pools I mean - one had a lazy river. Mom and I wanted to sip tequila sunrises there ALL WEEKEND. Long story short, we had a hard time doing anything AT ALL THIS WEEKEND!

We went to the beach for about an hour and a half after we got back from the store. We made lunch and booked it to the sand!!! Chris and Tim played the entire time while David recorded everything - I swear I think his video recorder became his BFF over the summer!! Mom and I layed out- I put no SPF on because it was so cloudy and I wanted some sun. I ended up with a slight burn, it went away by the next day. Friday night we went to Medieval Times for dinner - GREAT show, loved eating with my hands :)

Saturday was over cast and rainy - 80% chance and with that stupid tropical storm, we didn't want to chance spending money on the theme park when we were SURE it would get rained out. So, we went to Ripley's Aquarium - along with hundreds of other tourists... but I had a blast! I'm such a cheese ball!! Then we decided we'd go see the Dark Knight and mom and I would cook seafood for dinner. The movie was great and the food was wonderful! Then we all went to bed and packed up early the next morning... too much to do and too little time.

I promised Timmy we'd vacation for a week from here on out - and that's what we'll do!!

Well- the rain may have put a damper on the summer, but it's good you guys got out of Raleigh...sometimes you just have to leave the town in which you live in order to run away from the feeling of being trapped. Can't wait to hang this weekend.

I'm glad you guys were able to get away! I hope you were able to be refreshed and renewed! I love how even a short vacation can give you a new perspective on life! It's like a breath of fresh air! I'm selfishly glad your trip was only three days. I was missing you like CRAZY!!
