A Day in the Life of a Kelly Moment...

Well, it’s been awhile, so maybe I should update you on the goings-on in the life of the Gholson’s…

My BFF’s birthday is TOMORROW! So… Christian and I decided we’d take her out for dinner… probably our last VM dinner together. The Faiai’s are moving home, back to San Diego to be CA beach bums! Lauren and the boys are leaving NEXT Tuesday. I’m not exactly sure when Steve’s leaving. I was sad jus thinking of all of the things I’m going to miss about this wonderful couple and their beautiful boys. It’s a very bitter sweet situation, but I have to be happy for them. I’m going to miss Lauren as a Baller! I don’t know what we’re going to do next season without her! But we’ll figure something out. She helped us achieve something we hadn’t yet – BEING FIRST PLACE IN OUR DIVISION!!!

I’m hoping Chris and I can find some time Thursday after work to hit up the fair… we didn’t go last year because we didn’t have the money, and essentially, we don’t really have the money this year either…. but I’m going to make this happen! Even if we only have enough money to share a turkey leg and some corn!!

This past April Chris won first place at our safety rodeo for ECFP, and his prize was some cash and a trip to Myrtle Beach! Well, I finally made our reservations for it…. nearly 6 months later! We’re going to stay in the Ocean Front View (yeah, high roller!) for our birthday next year. So we’ll be gone May 29th-31st.

Other than that, I’m reading a new book, which I started last Thursday: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It’s a great book for any woman who wants to be in control of her body, learn more about her own fertility, and practice a drug-free birth control! It’s a great book; I’m nearly half way through it. It’s definitely a page turner and I’ve been learning things that I never knew!

Your post made me sad :-(

I'm going to miss you so much. I know I say that all the time. But it's true!

I hope you get to go to the fair! I think we're going too. I'm not sure when though.

That book sounds really good! I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Love my VM!
