We had the pleasure of attending a wedding this weekend. Two of our close friends finally tied the knot!! And for this fabulous wedding, our old roommate, Bacon, was in town from Canadia!!
Bacon got here Thursday, so he showed up to the office around 11:00. We all got together for lunch at Torrero’s (mmmmm- Mexican). The Ballers had a softball game, yes, of course, it had to be the late one. So we were done around 10 Thursday night. Chris, the dedicated friend that he is, went out with the guys and got home around 3 a.m. with TONS of funny stories about our fellow co-workers!
Friday was a regular work day – for SOME of us! Then we all went out to the Flying Saucer and had some good eats and a few beers. I found that, when it comes to drinking, sometimes, I’m THAT girl. Apparently I talk with my hands (and for the record- I wasn’t drunk). Bacon made me do a Jager Bomb (he didn’t have a gun to my head or anything…) and I flailed my arms telling a story and knocked my beer over. So, after about 4 beers and 2 jagers, it was midnight and time to go home. We had to get ready for the big night.
Saturday morning was a little rough, but we got up and did some laundry and cleaned up around the house. I took a nap, Chris ran some errands. The reception started at 7 that night, and we were anxiously looking forward to it!! I love socializing and parties! The reception was great: excellent food, great DJ, nice music and dancing. It was over at 10, so Chris and I decided that we’d go out with everyone. At the Old Bar we all drank TONS of shots and beers. It was nice getting to know some of my co-workers outside of work. I’m glad to work and be friends with such a great group of people! I’m not sure what time we got home – but I AM sure that I had to have Bacon help me get Chris into bed so I could peel his clothes off and get him ready for bed. MY, HOW IRONIC!!!!
